Sometimes you just need a space where people get it. The Young Adult Cancer (YAC) Hangout is a relaxed spot to connect with other young adult cancer patients, survivors, co-survivors, and caregivers. Whether you want to talk about cancer, vent about everyday stuff, or just laugh about something totally random, this is your chance to hang out with people who understand the ups and downs of YA cancer life. 💬✨
Who: Young adult cancer patients, survivors, co-survivors, and caregivers (ages 18 to 45)
When: Check the sidebar for upcoming YAC Hangout sessions 📅
What it is:
These hangouts are informal Zoom sessions 🎥. Think of it like a virtual living room where you can drop in, meet others, and chat about whatever’s on your mind. A Cactus Cancer Society volunteer will always be present as a guide, but this is not a support group, and a healthcare provider will not lead it. If you ever need medical or mental health support, please reach out to your physician or another qualified professional 💛.
How it works:
Before each YAC Hangout, you’ll get a Zoom link sent to your inbox. Come once, come often, or just drop by when you need some connection. Every hangout is open to any young adult cancer survivor or caregiver who signs up. 🌍
What you’ll need: A computer, smartphone, or tablet 📱, headphones with a microphone 🎧, and a webcam 💻.
✨ Come as you are. Stay as long as you like. Your seat in the circle is always saved. 🌵
