The Inner Canvas: Rooted 🌱

What keeps you steady when life feels anything but?

Maybe it’s your people. A place that feels like home. A value you keep coming back to. A favorite ritual, a community that gets it, something you learned the hard way, or a part of yourself that has somehow kept showing up through all of it.

This April, The Inner Canvas: Rooted is exploring the things that anchor, support, and nourish us. We’ll get curious about the people, places, practices, memories, values, communities, and pieces of ourselves that help us feel a little more grounded, especially when cancer and everything that comes with it makes life feel uncertain.

Through guided grounding and visualization, journaling, and therapeutic art response activities, we’ll use creativity to explore our own personal root systems. Along the way, we’ll play with words, imagery, symbols, color, and other creative prompts to notice what helps us feel connected to ourselves and the world around us.

Led by Lauren Morales, LCSW, this 90-minute creative drop-in includes plenty of room to reflect, create, experiment, and optionally share with other young adults who get it. No art experience required. Grab whatever supplies you have nearby, get comfy, and come dig around in your metaphorical roots with us. 🌱
