Rooted Voices Advisory Board - volunteer position
Cactus Cancer Society is committed to staying deeply connected to the lived experiences of young adults facing cancer.  The Rooted Voices Advisory Board is a space for patients, survivors, and caregivers/co-survivors (ages 18–45) to come together, reflect, and guide the future of Cactus Cancer Society.  This vibrant, discussion-based group meets virtually three times per year to keep our work grounded, responsive, and relevant.
Cactus Cancer Society is an innovative 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving young adult cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers, ages 18-45. We encourage, empower, and connect a diverse and growing community of YAs around the world, 24/7. Our mission is to provide a safe space where young adults (ages 18-45) facing cancer can connect, cope, and thrive with one another in an online community through creativity and expression. Our vision is to end isolation among young adults facing cancer.
It is the policy of Cactus Cancer Society to ensure equal employment opportunity without discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, citizenship, national origin, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law. Cactus Cancer Society actively prohibits any such discrimination or harassment.
