Our Next Book Club is Here!

A young women with medium dark skin sits in front of a tree on a bench. She has braided hair that leads to a pony tail, a matching periwinkle jacket and pant and a gray-blue jacket. She is holding a purple pen with a book open on her lap.

It’s time for another round of the Young Adult Cancer Book Club – the first of 2023!

This next book club pick is The House in the Cerulean Sea, by TJ Klune.  Here at Cactus Cancer Society, we’re really excited to read this book together – it’s a staff favorite!

Here’s how it works:

  1. You sign up to receive one of the free books that we send out to young adult cancer patients and survivors
  2. You agree that, in return, you will share your brilliant insights and thoughts on one of the book’s chapters.
  3. When you receive your book, the reading assignments (for what chapter we’d love your commentary on) will go out then too, and we’ll start sharing your commentary in mid-January.

Have your own copy of the book? You can still participate! Check out the Young Adult Voices blog each Friday, starting January 19th for the next book chapter’s installment! If you’d like to contribute your comments about a chapter, simply comment at the bottom of that chapter’s blog post. We’ll share with you when our book club discussion is scheduled and you can pop in to join.
