Deepening our roots. Centering your voice. Shaping our future.
The Rooted Voices Advisory Board is a dynamic group of young adults who help guide the future of Cactus Cancer Society. Made up of patients, survivors, and co-survivors ages 18–45, this board ensures our programs and initiatives remain deeply connected to the real experiences of the young adult cancer community. Meeting virtually three times a year, members engage in open discussion and thoughtful reflection to keep our work grounded, responsive, and relevant.
Through their insight and advocacy, Rooted Voices Advisory Board members play a vital role in guiding organizational priorities, amplifying awareness, and celebrating young adult resilience. Members share feedback with leadership, nominate peers for the Young Adult Advocate of the Year Award, and stay active in our community, all while building meaningful connections with others who understand the young adult cancer experience.
